Dibutyltin oxide (CAS 818-08-6) is a highly efficient organotin catalyst, primarily used in the synthesis of polyester resins and polyurethanes, catalyzing esterification and transesterification reactions. It is also used as a raw material for PVC heat stabilizers, suitable for transparent rigid products without sulfur contamination. Furthermore, it can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis to prepare derivatives such as dibutyltin dilaurate, improving the curing efficiency and performance of coatings and adhesives.
